Description: Spring 2027: that is when the 16-mile transit development called the Purple Line is set to be completed in Maryland. But how has the community surrounding the transit-oriented development changed? In this presentation, Ness Perry, Advocacy Specialist for the LEDC will walk you through the history of the long-anticipated Purple Line Rail Project and how small businesses have been resilient amid a rapidly changing environment.
The first hour of the workshop will be a presentation by the speaker followed by a Q&A with the audience which will be livestreamed, recorded, and posted on the UEC website. In the second hour, the in-person audience will have a small group discussion based on the speaker's presentation. More information on the discussion will be shared closer to the date of the workshop. To ensure a comfortable and safe environment in which each participant can share, the UEC is requesting that the workshop portion of the event remain intimate at a 30-person capacity.
